The 48 Hour Challenge
Wikipedia defines the words 'Comfort Zone' as the term used to denote a type of mental conditioning resulting in artificially created mental boundaries, within which an individual derives a sense of security.
Whew... that one sentence was a lot to ingest.
I have a serious question for you. Have you ever been afraid to leave your 'comfort zone'?
At times, I have.
For example, when I go out on lecture tour - I leave my comfort zone. In a nutshell, being in a new city every day turns into a big blur. It's very difficult to keep relationships, make long-term plans, and you are not available at times when someone needs you. Just writing that last sentence scares me.
"Then why do it Lee?"
Here's why - I live the Card Star Lifestyle.
I refuse to be a spectator in life, sitting back, watching it pass by. In my opinion, that's even scarier!
Directly below is a challenge for you. If you accept, your reward will be immense and well worth your efforts.
In the next 24 to 48 hours, I want you leave your comfort zone by taking something you've been working on, and show it to someone you've never met before. For instance, if you've been practicing the Asher Twist for the last month and have yet to share it with anyone, I challenge you to go perform it for a stranger.
Without a doubt, it will feel awkward and you won't be in your own comfort zone. But, by just venturing out of your bounds, you are able to see what's waiting for you on the other side. Your reward is experience. You can't buy it anywhere, you can't trade it for anything. Every time you leave your bounds, you gain experience.
Follow these words of advice: Don't be a spectator in life. Put on your shoes, take a trip out of your comfort zone, and experience your own Card Star Lifestyle.
On your mark, get set, go now!
Remember, there is no substitute for experience. You can't buy it, you can't borrow it - you can only gain it.
