Important details about the sale of J Nugs (Oct. 2010)

Over the past few months, many questions have been raised about the sale of Jerry's Nugget Playing Cards on LeeAsher.com. Below, you'll find the top ten most asked questions (in no particular order) along with the answers.

Before you read the FAQs, I want to point out that there were some people in the last two auctions that got here early, clicked fast, got a bargain in their basket and then waited. And the auction went on without them.

Bidders need to know that your guaranteed price is the check-out price at PayPal.

Getting in fast is important, but so is completing your transaction just as quickly, or other, faster bidders can get in and steal your bargain out from underneath you.

1) How much will these decks cost?
Below is a chart of how the cards will be sold in 2010. While it was stated that price would be announced on October 1st, 2010, I've decided to list the details right now to combat any disappointment some might have. Notice that each rung has a certain number of decks at a specific price and a specific condition. If you're fast enough, you'll be able to purchase a deck of Jerry's Nugget Playing cards for WAY LESS than 2010's fair market value. Good luck.

Tiers How many decks per Price per deck
Rung 1
the first 10

These ten decks have NO cello, may have "broken" tax stamps on box but the cards are in Mint condition.

$99
Rung 2
the next 20

These twenty decks are in As Issued, condition with cello and unbroken tax stamps, as if they just left the Jerry's Nugget Casino gift shop.

$199
Rung 3
the next 30

These thirty decks are As Issued, condition with cello and unbroken tax stamps, as if they just left Jerry's Nugget Casino gift shop.

$299
* Note - Once a rung sells out, the cart will automatically update to reflect the new price.

2) What will my deck look like?
Original Jerry's come in blue and red. The condition of your deck will be based upon the rung at which you purchase. Rung one decks are in "mint condition", which means there will be no cellophane, and that the stamp may be loose or broken. The deck inside has never been used, shuffled or handled. Decks in rungs two and three will have the cellophane and stamps intact. All collectors know that the thin and delicate wrappers of these decks were not designed to last 40 years, so small crinkles and cracks in the cellophane are not uncommon.

3) May I choose my deck color?
Jerry's Nugget decks bought from this website on October 1st, 2010 come in either blue or red. In order to optimize the speed of each successive transaction, the deck color will be automatically assigned by the shopping cart and alternated with each sale. This means that neither you nor the staff at LeeAsher.com will be able to control the color of the authentic deck you are buying.

4) Are these real Jerry's Nuggets cards from 1970?
Yes. The 60 decks being sold on October 1st, 2010 at 11:45AM EDT (New York Time) on LeeAsher.com are the genuine thing. Be assured that you are purchasing a real pack of Jerry's Nugget Playing Cards. They will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

5) May I send a check, money order, or any other form of cash to purchase a deck?
Sorry, no. You may only purchase a deck using the shopping cart provided on this website. At this time, Paypal is your only option. Please note this online payment service takes most major credit cards and you don't have to create an account to use their services. Click here for more information about paypal.

6) Can you save a deck for me until I get home from school or work?
Jerry's Nugget decks cannot be reserved. Do what it takes to be there on October 1st, 2010 at 11:45am EDT (New York Time) in order to maximize your chance to purchase a deck.

7) May I check out with more than one deck in the shopping cart?
To be fair to everyone, you are limited to placing one deck in the shopping cart. You can try to put in more, but you'll be penalized and lose time. You risk missing out on purchasing a deck. Play fair. Being sneaky will not help you in this situation.

8) If these Jerry's Nugget cards sell out, will there be any more for sale in 2010?
If you miss your opportunity to purchase a deck of authentic Jerry's Nugget cards on the 1st of October 2010, you'll have to wait until the next Jerry's Nugget Playing Card Launch. 2011 Date TBA.

9) Can't I just purchase a Jerry's Nugget deck on Ebay?
You sure can, but you won't be guaranteed that it's authentic. Buyer beware on Ebay. Please be careful.

10) I don't want to leave LeeAsher.com empty-handed on October 1st, 2010. What should I do?
While you are not guaranteed a Jerry's deck that day, you will be able to download a special Jerry's Nugget Playing Card gift, courtesy of LeeAsher.com. Just show up here October 1st, 2010 at 9:00AM EDT.
