Do you know that the Bulldog Squeezer back design has remained unchanged for more than a century?

This deck was originally printed in 1877 to commemorate the merger of the N.Y Consolidated Co. (maker of the Bee brand) and the A. Dougherty (Maker of the Tally Ho brand) playing card companies. Indicative of the agreement reached between them to honor each other's patents, the back design consists of two snarling dogs confronting each other.

Notice the dogs are chained to their houses. This symbolizes their agreement to remain on home turf for sales territories.

Each Bulldog has a name printed on its collar:
Trip & Squeezer. Again, these names directly refer to A. Dougherty's Triplicates concept and Consolidated's Squeezers concept.

Printed with a cambric finish, a rougher cloth-like design embossed onto the surface of the cards, they are wonderful for sleight of hand and manipulation.

Lee Asher's Latest News!04.17.14 When Bally’s New Orleans abruptly closed, these uncanceled Bee decks remained factory sealed, ‘As Issued’ — never to be used on the gaming tables again. Printed at United States Playing Card Company’s Cincinnati plant in 2005, these cards were manufactured with premium-grade casino bee card stock and the ever-popular proprietary cambric finish.

Lee Asher's Latest News!04.16.14 While living in the freshman dormitory at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (1995), I stumbled upon a handling for Cliff Green’s Phoenix Aces that would change my feelings about card productions forever. Read more about how I created Thunderbird: The Modern Ace Production.

Lee Asher's Latest News!04.15.14 The deck moves across the table, crawling out from under the hand of the spectator. It then levitates UP while the spectator presses down on it. They can see clear through underneath the deck while it rises and can see no visible means of support as the deck pushes up and out of it’s cellophane wrapper. Legend is waiting for you.
